As you might expect, a good understanding of science is a must for any nurse. That is why it is so important to get a great score on the science portion of the HESI A2 exam. There are nine content areas on the HESI entrance exam. These areas cover specific math, science, and reading skills. The HESI entrance exam also includes a Personality Profile and a Learning Style section.
Each section of the HESI A2 contains 25-50 questions. All science sections contain 25 questions.
One of the most challenging, and also arguably its most important, aspects of the HESI exam is the science portion. This portion of the test encompasses life science, physical science, earth science, scientific reasoning, and anatomy & physiology. With it being this comprehensive and integrated, it is easy for you to feel overwhelmed, even if you believe that you are studying as best as you can. As a nursing school applicant and a hopeful nurse, there are perhaps some very valuable skills you can possess as you prepare for this exam. As such, these scores will play a huge role in your nursing school application.
Like many tests, the goal is to get the highest score that you can while also demonstrating a knowledge and understanding of the material. Each school sets their own passing score for the HESI exam. The minimum score for most nursing schools is 75-80% in each section.
Many study programs just regurgitate the information they think you need while not encouraging a fostering of knowledge. With The Adkins Academy, you won’t just memorize concepts like cell respiration, but you will understand them and be able to explain them in detail.
Our high yield and challenging set of HESI A2 Science questions are designed to provoke thought and reinforce the material so you can apply your knowledge.
